GREAT LEADERSHIP MATTERS
The Governor’s Citizenship Medal is one of the highest honors bestowed upon the citizens or organizations of the state of Colorado for their meritorious contributions to the strength and vitality of the state.
A COLORADO TRADITION
To honor the work of these Colorado leaders and to inspire future generations to serve the interests of the state, Senator John Hickenlooper, in partnership with all living Colorado Governors, created the Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medal (CGCM). The CGCM recognizes individuals and organizations from diverse sectors that make enduring impacts on the strength and vitality of the State of Colorado.
In its tenth year, Governor Polis will award five medals, one in each of the following categories: Vanguard Legacy, Emerging Community Leader, Growth & Innovation, Public & Community Service, and Corporate Citizenship.
